Holiday Hep C Help

Holiday Hep C HelpThis may be a stretch, but the following tools and tips may be helpful to you this holiday season.

Quick Gift Ideas for Yourself and Others

  • Help.4.Hep: A self-care app for managing hepatitis C – You didn’t choose this journey, but you can make it your own. A new hep C app is now being offered to help you do just that. The app was designed to help you keep track of how you are doing and surround yourself with people who care. It was designed to help you remain in control. More information can also be found in our blog post Remain in Control with a New Hep C App. FREE

  • Medisafe Medication Reminder and Pill Organizer app – This app helps you stay on top of medications, updates, appointments, and medical reports with a variety of themes. One of the themes is Star Wars. With it, Yoda warns you that if you don’t take your meds, you will never be a Jedi Master and if you don’t turn the warning off, and hopefully take your pills, it can be set to message a contact person. The force is with you and, in this case, it is FREE.

  • HCV Guidance App – A digital version of the HCV Guidance, for your mobile device that highlights current evidence-based, expert-developed recommendations for hepatitis C management. It was created by Guideline Central, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), and the Infectious Diseases Society of America (IDSA).

  • Donations in your name or in the names of others – Organizations that help those with hepatitis C or help fund research often welcome donations and give tax receipts in return. Some can be found through websites such as CanadaHelps.org, and then by searching hepatitis C or liver.

There are also numerous blood presser, diet, exercise, and heart health  apps that may be fun to test during the holidays.
